Our Mission

We believe every Canadian deserves the right to make deeply personal end-of-life choices — before it’s too late to speak for themselves.

Our mission is to update Canada’s MAiD laws so that people can complete an Advance MAiD Request Form before a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other cognitive decline. This ensures that when the time comes, their wishes are respected, their dignity is preserved, and unnecessary suffering is avoided.

This movement is not about expanding access to MAiD. It’s about protecting personal choice and giving peace of mind to Canadians and their families. We want to see a future where no one is forced to endure years of fear, confusion, and physical decline simply because the law prevented them from preparing ahead.

We are working to:

  • Raise national awareness about the current law and its consequences.

  • Gather widespread support through our petition and grassroots outreach.

  • Present a clear, compassionate, and practical solution to lawmakers.

  • Lead Canada to become a global example in end-of-life rights and dignity.

Together, we can change the law — for our parents, our grandparents, ourselves, and our children.

Why This Matters ❤️

Imagine being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia too late to make your wishes known. Imagine losing your ability to speak, recognize your loved ones, or care for yourself — yet still being forced to live for years in fear and confusion because the law did not allow you to prepare ahead.

This is not a rare story.

  • Half of all people diagnosed with cognitive decline lose the ability to consent before they can access MAiD.

  • Even those who do qualify often feel forced to end their lives sooner than they want — just to ensure they can give final consent.

We believe no one should have to face that choice. By updating the law to allow advance requests before diagnosis, we can protect dignity, reduce unnecessary suffering, and give peace of mind to millions of Canadians.
